As a national award-winning artist, Chris Navarro is always looking to do challenging commissions where he is inspired and excited by the subject matter so that he can give the best that is within him. He is commissioned throughout the country and has sculpted over 32 monumental bronze sculptures. His specialties are wildlife, Native American, inspirational, rodeo and western art subjects. He welcomes public art and private commissions for site specific sculptures.
Among some of his monumental sculptures, Navarro is well known for his stunning commissioned pieces of “Champion Lane Frost” – world champion bull rider, a life size “T Rex” for the Tate Museum in Casper Wyoming and a 16-foot tall bronze of the famous bucking horse, “Steamboat” for the University of Wyoming.
The creation of monuments is extremely time consuming and labor intensive, requiring an initial design, creating a clay model, then casting it in bronze through the “lost wax” method. Navarro brings inspiration and detail to each of his art pieces
