Stephen Day has been painting the West for more than 30 years. He was born in Sheridan, Wyoming and growing up he lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Aspen, Colorado; and Durango, Colorado. He spent 23 years living in the Denver area, painting along the front range, in the Colorado High Country, and made frequent painting trips to Northern New Mexico. He also has taken many painting trips across the West to the Grand Canyon, the California Coast, the Red Rock Country of Utah, and the Arizona Desert. After selling his house of 10 years in Taos, NM, he now splits his time between his studios in Green Valley, AZ and Silver City, NM. He shows in galleries in Wyoming, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. His work is included in the books: “Landscapes of New Mexico”, “Landscapes of Colorado”, “Art of the National Parks”, and “Art Journey – New Mexico”.
